Bill 19 was introduced into the Legislature on Tuesday October 29, 2019 and if passed will replace The Climate Change and Emissions Management Act. The Technology Innovation and Emissions Reduction (TIER) regulation will be the backbone of Alberta’s climate strategy ensuring the federal backstop is not pushed down onto Alberta.
