CAMERON FRIESEN

Senior Strategy Advisor

Cameron is a veteran of the Manitoba Legislative Assembly and a former Cabinet Minister, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to help clients navigate the complexities of government, policy, and regulatory environments.

First elected in 2011, Cameron served three terms as MLA for Morden—Winkler.  He held key Cabinet positions including Minister of Finance, Minister of Health, Minister of Justice/Attorney General, Minister for Manitoba Hydro and a second appointment to Finance.  In these roles, Cameron spearheaded initiatives including leading the new government’s fiscal plan to return to balance, modernizing the health system, and stabilizing Manitoba Hydro during a critical period.

Cameron holds degrees from University of Manitoba, University of British Columbia, and Canadian Mennonite University. He is currently completing an MBA with a focus on Management and Change at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business. 

Prior to entering politics, Cameron taught in the public school system for a decade, developing innovative fine arts programs in Winnipeg, Steinbach, and Morden. Following that, he served as a Special Assistant to a Member of Parliament, supporting constituency and parliamentary work and gaining insight into federal legislative processes.

He currently serves as a director on several boards.

Cameron makes his home in Morden and is a long-time golfer, runner, barbeque devotee, and recent convert to pickleball.
