After decades of dedicated service to Canadians and impactful contributions to public policy and strategy, Tom Lukiwski is retiring from Prairie Sky Strategy.
Tom’s journey in public life began in 2004 when he was first elected as a Member of Parliament for Regina–Lumsden–Lake Centre, later representing Moose Jaw–Lake Centre–Lanigan until 2021. Over 17 years in Parliament, Tom became known as one of the most effective and respected voices in the House of Commons.
He served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Government House Leader for nine years, playing a key role in shaping and advancing legislation. Following 2015, Tom continued to lead with distinction as Chair of the Government Operations and Estimates Committee until 2019.
Beyond his formal roles, Tom generously shared his expertise by teaching public speaking to fellow MPs and political leaders across Canada—earning a reputation as one of Parliament’s finest orators.
Before entering politics, Tom held leadership roles in strategy, marketing, and business development in Saskatchewan, including with the Saskatchewan Party, Strategy West, and CKCK TV.
At the heart of Tom’s career has always been a simple philosophy: public service means helping people. That belief guided his work in Parliament and later at Prairie Sky Strategy, where his deep understanding of government and commitment to service made a lasting impact on clients and colleagues alike.
Tom now looks forward to more time with his wife Diane, their two sons, and two beautiful granddaughters—and perhaps a few more rounds on the golf course, where he’s already represented Saskatchewan at the Canadian Amateur Golf Championship twice!
Please join us in thanking Tom for his extraordinary contributions and wishing him all the best in this next chapter.
