Jill Swenson brings nearly two decades of experience in government, public affairs, strategic communications, and stakeholder relations at both the federal and provincial levels. She has extensive expertise in helping organizations and companies navigate complex public policy environments, build influential relationships, and advance strategic priorities across government, industry, and a broad range of communities.

Jill spent almost a decade in senior roles with the Government of Canada, serving as Director of Operations and Senior Advisor to federal Cabinet Ministers responsible for International Trade and Intergovernmental Affairs, and Infrastructure and Communities. In these roles, she helped advance some of Canada’s most significant trade, economic and infrastructure initiatives, working directly with businesses, industry leaders, governments, and stakeholders across the country.

Her experience includes leading regional communications and stakeholder engagement for major Canadian trade agreements such as CETA and the CPTPP; supporting Canadian businesses as they navigate international markets and complex trade challenges; planning and executing international trade missions; and contributing to Canada’s participation in key international forums, including APEC, the WTO, the G7 and the G20. She also worked extensively with provincial, territorial, and municipal governments on major infrastructure priorities, helping lead the review and approval of hundreds of projects representing billions of dollars in federal investment.

Most recently, Jill led government relations, public affairs, and communications strategies across Western Canada and at the federal level for clients spanning infrastructure and transportation, technology and emerging technologies, trade and economic development, creative industries, post-secondary education, and the non-profit sector. Earlier in her career, she worked in public engagement, corporate communications, and issues and crisis management in the private sector.

Jill holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Saskatchewan, where she also studied Political Science and Economics, as well as a degree in International Business from MacEwan University. She is also bilingual, with Government of Canada Level C proficiency in French.
