Senior Strategy Advisor

Connie Tamoto is an accomplished communications and stakeholder relations leader who has experience in the fields of corporate communications, corporate responsibility, community engagement, employee engagement and media relations.

Throughout her career, Connie has spear-headed high-profile initiatives, including the development and implementation of external and internal communications strategies, providing strategic advice on crisis communications and issues management, planning and organizing events, and crafting community engagement and corporate responsibility programs.

She has held senior communication roles with leading organizations such as Cargill Limited, The North West Company and Economic Development Winnipeg / Tourism Winnipeg (formerly Destination Winnipeg). In addition, Connie provided communications and media relations support for provincial Government Caucus, as well as communications support for the government relations teams at Cargill and The North West Company. Before transitioning to corporate communications, Connie built a strong foundation in journalism as an award-winning television reporter and newspaper columnist in Winnipeg.

Connie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Manitoba and a Creative Communications Diploma with a major in Journalism from Red River College.
