Leigha Parsons joins Prairie Sky with 25 years of experience in the energy sector, mainly progressing Indigenous engagement for various projects and operations in Western Canada.

Her work involves strategic collaboration between proponents and Indigenous communities, identifying mutual interests and opportunities.  During her initial corporate career in Land, she gained a keen understanding of land access agreements and regulatory requirements for First Nation consultation. As an engagement professional for Ovintiv and, more recently, TC Energy, she developed strong working relationships under complex circumstances, coordinated agreement negotiations, and provided regulatory support on Indigenous matters for on large scope energy projects.

She has studied at the University of Saskatchewan, University of Calgary, SAIT, and Mount Royal University, gaining education and training in Conflict Management and Negotiation, Project Management, Public Relations, Petroleum Land Administration, and Indigenous Relations. She is currently studying remedial massage therapy to develop her passion in health and wellness.

Leigha lives in Calgary, Alberta with her two daughters and their family pets, while maintaining strong family ties that stretch from Saskatchewan to British Columbia. Outside professional endeavors, you’ll find her spending time with family, watching her daughters in sports, or learning a new hobby.

What we do:

At Prairie Sky Strategy we develop the strategy to bridge the gap between where your organization is today, and where you want it to be tomorrow.

You have growth objectives. You may have regulatory challenges. You may be headquartered in another jurisdiction and need “boots on the ground” in-market providing local insights, analysis and execution. That’s where Prairie Sky comes in.
