PATRICIA WARSABA

Patricia brings over 40 years legal and corporate expertise to the board of directors of Prairie Sky. 

She retired in 2023 as a partner with McKercher LLP in Regina. As a leading corporate and commercial lawyer, she led many transactions integral to Saskatchewan’s economy specifically in agriculture, energy development and creative industries. In addition to a strong M&A and lending practise, Patricia was an advisor to numerous organizations on governance and succession. 

Patricia is currently the Chair of Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Corporation.  She is also the Chair of the RCMP Heritage Centre and is a board member of the Regina Humane Society.  She is a former board member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce (Past Chair), Creative Saskatchewan, Technology Professionals Saskatchewan, National Film Board of Canada, Regina Airport Authority (past Vice-Chair) and Inclusion Regina.  She is Honorary Consul for Iceland in Saskatchewan, a position she has held since 2020.

Patricia received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Manitoba in 1982 and was called to the Saskatchewan bar in 1983.  She received a Queen’s Counsel (now King’s Counsel) appointment in 2010.  She was the recipient of the CBA Saskatchewan Community Service Award 2023 as well as the Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Medal.  In 2024, she was honored by the Saskatchewan Chamber with the Roger Phillips Chamber Builder Award.
